an Interview with Tanawin bomrungsri regarding life and artistry; hosted by Lifetime Reserve // documented on September 8th, 2023

Where are you from?

Thailand, I was Born on December 12, 1967, in the enchanting city of Nakhon Sawan,  I  emerged as one of Thailand’s foremost artists. Having graduated from Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University, I embarked on my remarkable artistic journey .

What kind of art do you make?

My artistic output is a reflection of my in-depth knowledge of how Thai and Western cultures interact and how that connection continues to create Thailand’s changing identity. My works captivate viewers’ attention by drawing inspiration from my elaborate tapestry and enticing them to explore Thailand’s complex social structure.

How long have you been creating art? (Painting / Sculpting / Etc.)

I have been painting since i was a child and my sculptures I started later  in University

What inspired and propelled you into the world of art?
My purpose is to present and celebrate the beauty and diversity of original works of art, particularly paintings that represent the spirit of Thai culture and its intersection with the larger world.

Tell us about Tanawinart.com.

The website was founded by my visionary as an artist and to be able to share my work.

Where did it all begin? Tell us about the vision behind the project…

the soul. My passion lies in connecting you with the finest original works of art that ignite your
imagination and leave a lasting impression. I strive to create a platform where artists and art
enthusiasts come together to celebrate the beauty and diversity of artistic expression.

styles, genres, and mediums. Each artwork is a testament to the unique perspectives and boundless creativity of one and only,  From vibrant abstract compositions to serene landscapes, from thought-provoking portraits to captivating still life, My collection reflects the diverse tapestry of the art world.

Upcoming release/project you wanna let people know about?

I am Always looking for inspiration and new works now I am concentrating on a Avatar collection.

What art scenes are you most involved with?

Bangkok’s urban art scene.

Favorite piece of art that isn’t your own work?

The Starry Night1889: Vincent Van Gogh, I just want to be there in person to view this sky. The swirls and gigantic stars would be enough for my eyes for a hundred years. The way that the sky just melts with itself makes me day dream.

Most ideal setting for creating your art?

The biggest hurdle many of us have to overcome is finding enough space. I’ve worked on the floor, at a table, with my work pinned on a wall and at an easel. I definitely recommend experimenting similarly before you decide to draw or paint one particular way. You want to use all your space optimally and not stretch and reach for things. But, beyond that, you need to be open and let your process guide you.

What inspires you the most to keep creating?

Art has been a factor of our life as long as humanity has existed. For thousands of years, art has been created, observed, critiqued, and enjoyed by human beings in many regions across the world.

Art isn’t just murals, sculptures, music, books, or anything that someone may define as art; it’s more of a bigger picture, like if life has a deeper meaning, such as a message or a theme that is reflected upon. Art can be viewed at as many different ways in terms of people having different reactions or observing it in a different meaning. Someone could feel that the art work is very extraordinary and unique but someone else can have a different reaction and feel like it is no different than other artworks and have a literalist view upon the art.

How would you define art in your own words?

For as long as humanity has existed, art has been part of our lives. For many years, people have been creating and enjoying art.  It expresses emotions or expression of life. It is one such creation that enables interpretation of any kin

Last but not least, how would you define your work as an artist, using only 3 words?

Quality, production, expression,

Any advice or life tips you could give to anybody out there reading this?

A lot of people think that art can only go as far as a class in school, but in reality there is art around everyone. Art can be a way of life for some people, and for others it is simply just something they pass every single day.
